MEET TAMMY.
Dr. Greer currently serves as Assistant Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science at Clark Atlanta University. Dr. Greer has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Master in Security Management from the University of Houston-Downtown and PhD in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University with specific focus areas in American Government (including state and local government), Urban Politics, Comparative Politics, and International Politics.
Dr. Greer has worked in a variety of positions in state and federal government as well as in the private sector in diverse capacities.
As a scholar, Dr. Greer’s research and community/civic involvement focuses on how public policy has an impact on historically underserved communities, and how policymakers can improve the quality of life for those populations using clear, specific, and equitable public policy. Dr. Greer is also passionate about empowering the community through the consistent and persistent action of voting. She advocates for consistent engagement and voting especially in non- presidential elections (specifically state and local positions), voting for all positions on the ballot, as well as ongoing proactive citizenship.
Dr. Greer is also the host of the podcast “This is YOUR America” that focuses on educating listeners about the U.S. form of government through factual information and critical analysis.
